Granting of restricted banking licence to ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced today (29 August) that the Monetary Authority has granted a restricted banking licence to ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. (AACB) under the Banking Ordinance.  AACB is incorporated in the Netherlands.  The granting of this restricted banking licence takes effect today (29 August 2025).

After the grant of a restricted banking licence to AACB, the number of restricted licence banks in Hong Kong is 16.
