💼🌍 HKU SPACE | AML in Family Office | Wealth Management
It was an honor to be invited by the University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE) as a guest lecturer for the “AML in Family Office / Wealth Management” course, sharing practical insights and discussing in depth with professionals from the family office, private banking, and asset management sectors.
The session focused on:
🔹 International regulatory principles and policy design of AML / CTF
🔹 Compliance risks within family offices and high-net-worth structures
🔹 Real-world case analysis: designing effective AML policies and internal controls
🔹 RegTech implementation and forecasting regulatory trends
📌 Highlight:
Recently, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has been advancing the legislative proposal for a “Stablecoin Regulatory Framework.” This indicates the accelerating convergence between AML requirements for virtual assets and traditional finance. We also explored how to build sustainable compliance frameworks for trading platforms, custodians, and family offices — including KYT (Know Your Transaction) and wallet screening mechanisms.
🚀 As a consulting firm, we have long assisted clients in applying for and implementing AML systems, with practical experience across multiple jurisdictions:
✅ Taiwan: VASP / MSB / Asset Management Companies
✅ Hong Kong: MSO / SFC Type 4, 9
✅ Australia: MSB / AFSL
✅ India & Thailand: EMI / Virtual Asset Registration & Compliance
🌟 Compliance is not just a requirement — it’s a long-term competitive edge.
📸 Here are some highlights and certificate presentation moments from the session. Many thanks to HKU SPACE for the invitation and to all participants for their enthusiastic engagement!
